Bruce Heidlauf loves bikes. He always has and, chances are, he always will. When the owner of Mill Race Cyclery was just 10 years old he knew he wanted to run a bicycle shop, and when he was just a teenager, he started one out of his parents' garage. Fast forward to the present and Bruce has expanded his operation into a 7,500-square-foot bicycle paradise right on Fox River, complete with repair services, brands such as bicycle brands such as Specialized, Cannondale, Electra and Haro, and (in the summer) even tasty ice cream. But Bruce didn't stop there. His life-long love of bikes has made him into an advocate for healthy living, and to that end Bruce has recently expanded his shop. He now proudly offers electric bike rentals, complete with an optional shuttle service to bring kayaks and SUPs back to the store on down river trips.
