    Following a warm-up, up to 10 boarders aged 6 to 14 follow their instructor to the trampoline and foam pit to practice airs. After a lunch of pizza and Gatorade, campers take part in skateboarding or indoor snowboarding lessons and games that develop basic skills. At the end of camp, attendees take home a picture snapped by a photographer and a Misfit Lab T-shirt. Camps are held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 23–26, August 7–10, and August 20–23.

About Misfit Lab

Co-owner of Misfit Lab Shaun Hamilton has been boarding on land and snow for 18 years. So when he opened Misfit Lab with wife Tera, he did so for his kindred skate- and snowboarding spirits. "Team sports aren't for everybody. You get the kid that doesn't go out for the football team," Shaun explained during an interview for mLive complete with trampoline and foam pit. The snowboarding runs are topped with Powderpak, a synthetic surface reminiscent of plastic but soft enough to cushion falls and muffle the footsteps of yetis just trying to feel at home. Atop the faux snow, experienced riders and instructors lead lessons for all ages and skill levels. Wheel-based lessons unfold in the skate park outfitted with rails and ramps, including jump that sends riders into the cushy embrace of a foam pit so that they can practice and perfect new tricks.
