According to founders Mark and Victoria Tedeschi, starting an upscale, trendy restaurant in Conklin required real guts, hence their name, Moxie Wood Fire Grill.Start meals off with half a rack of smoked baby back ribs or firecracker shrimp flash fried and served with a zesty sauce. Move on to cuts of meat ranging from the classic filet mignon to wagyu kobe rib steak, all wood-fired and grilled to perfection. The team at Moxie also mixes up a mean cocktail, like the fruity Moxietini or the refined Cigar Lover's, a blend of cognac, tawny port, and flamed orange peel.
