About Mt. Crescent Ski Area

Mt. Crescent Ski Area has been open for over 50 years since Olympic gold-medalist skier, Stein Eriksen, assisted in finding the perfect spot for a new ski area in 1961. Located 15 miles northeast of downtown Omaha in the mountainous terrain of the Iowa Bluffs, it provides a variety of slopes that attracts both new and experienced skiers. Thanks to 20 hard-working snow-making machines, skiers and snowboarders of all levels can zip down nine different runs reaching up to 2,400 feet, and also enjoy night skiing at this western-Iowa resort. An all-season resort, Mt. Crescent offers activities such as The Screaming Eagle Zip Line, Mudzilla Run, Mini Me Family Mud Run, Oktoberfest, the infamous Midwest Snow Box Derby, and much more.
