Inside Next Step Archery, the twang of bowstrings and whoosh of arrows lets you know that archers are afoot. The vast arena hosts countless rounds of archery on its 10-yard range, which is dotted with targets spaced with plenty of room to aim and fire. Those targets are often in the sights of the school's student archers; Next Step holds classes that cover topics ranging from fundamentals to advanced training. Under the watchful instruction of the center's USA Archery-certified instructors, beginners borrow equipment as they learn how to aim for the first time, while more advanced students hone their competitive skills with tools including video assessment and overlays. In addition to training, the center also values a bit of fun. During Archery Tag matches, groups of players unleash volleys of foam-tipped arrows at one another in a thrilling game that blends dodgeball and archery.
