Noble Romans Pizza began as an independent pizzeria on the campus of Indiana University in 1972. It’s since expanded, and the franchised eateries remain true to their origins by using the same high-quality ingredients in their handcrafted pizzas. Each pie begins with a fresh crust, made with high-protein flour, cornmeal, and yeast; next comes a layer of sauce, comprised of ripe California tomatoes, spices, and parmesan cheese. Noble Romans’ signature cheese, meanwhile, is a blend of 100% mozzarella and muenster cheeses. All vegetable toppings—such as mushrooms and green peppers—are fresh, meaning they’re never been taken from cans or hurled at bad standup comedians.
