About Obscura Darkroom
Established in 2019, Obscura Darkroom is a community film darkroom located in Newark, NJ. We offer classes and workshops for adults and teens, as well as memberships and open studio hours. Whether you are an experienced photographer, or are curious to try it out, you are welcome at Obscura Darkroom. Our facilities include 6 black and white enlargers, ample room for processing both film and prints, a welcoming and supportive learning environment, and free wi-fi in our waiting area. We also have an art gallery focused on supporting analogue photography.
