About Ohio Renaissance Festival

Spread across 30 acres, the Ohio Renaissance Festival re-creates the sights, sounds, and excitement of a 16th century English village, inviting attendees to pack 400 years of revelry into a single day. During the festival's autumn run, specific themes change the focus from week to week, and more than 100 shows per day unfold across 11 stages. Those aren't the only festival's only impressive numbers, though—here are a few more:

  • 140+ unique arts and crafts shop populate the medieval marketplace, where artisans sell their wares and demonstrate such time-honored crafts as glassblowing, stone carving, and bootmaking.

  • 150+ costumed characters roam the grounds, including jugglers, dueling swordsman, and lawless pirates. Peasants and royalty also gather alongside the festival's attendees to watch brave knights battle during full-armored jousting tournaments.

  • 15 games challenge guests to accomplish a variety of feats, such as firing a bow-and-arrow and scaling a castle tower to rescue a damsel in distress. In addition to games, there are also more than a handful of human-powered rides that are ideal for kids.

  • Dozens of hearty food options keep bellies full during treks through time, including huge roasted turkey legs and baked bread bowls overflowing with soups and stews. Adults can wash back bites with swigs of ales and wines, too.
