The kid-free event features live demonstrations, a stellar planetarium show with laser lights accompanying the music of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pink Floyd, and well-rounded presentations with Science on a Sphere, a six-foot-high, high-tech suspended globe. Visitors can see the world through the eyes of Einstein, or chat up SAMSON, one of the most complete fossils of a T. Rex dinosaur, whose 40-foot frame is 66 million years old. OMNIMAX shows include Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk and the Johnny Depp- and Kate Winslet-narrated Deep Sea. OMSI After Dark will also include samples of local, sustainable eats and drinks, along with cash bars for those who desire full-sized sips.

Reviews
East Portland News featured OMSI After Dark, and six Yelpers give it a 4.5-star rating.
- We found the museum filled with grown-ups truly enjoying themselves. We watched as they turned knobs, adjusted demonstration equipment, and pulled levers that made objects shoot in the air, roll down inclines, and create patterns – all in the pursuit of science, of course. – David F. Ashton, East Portland News
- Agghhhhhhh! Fun!!!!!! Maybe it's the drinks, but really it's the fun exhibits that lead to hours of laughs, teasing, and rambunctiously running around. – Claire W., Yelp
