The folks behind Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt reject any notion that desserts can't be nutritious. The problem, they say, has more to do with selection than anything else; most low-calorie treats can't hold a candle to a fudge brownie or a warm slice of cherry pie. They keep this in mind when crafting their frozen-yogurt recipes, working tirelessly to develop a healthy and delicious alternative to the status quo of sweets.

Their experiments thus far have yielded more than 60 frozen yogurt flavors, available at self-serve machines lining the colorful shop’s wall. Guests fill their dishes with one of these cool, low-fat treats, then choose from among 30 or so topping like juicy pears, crunchy granola, and gooey chocolate sauce before weighing in and taking a seat.
