Original Lobster Festival
The Original Lobster Festival for more than two decades, the Original Lobster Festival has been bringing fresh Maine lobsters to succulent fruition within what festival organizers refer to as “the world’s largest cooker.” But if cracking freshly streamed claws straight from the pot isn’t someone's thing, they can experience the namesake shellfish in a variety of other ways at the food court, where multiple vendors fold delectable morsels of lobster into rolls, transform them into sliders, and even serve them on a stick. And to help burn off meals and signature margaritas, live performers and DJs, including a Michael Jackson tribute show, incite dance parties. A karaoke lounge, meanwhile, gets festival-goers singing along to a live band, carnival rides, and a children’s stage—replete with a cool critter show and close-up encounter—ropes little ones into the festivities.
