According to local legend, each night a ghost walks the railroad tracks from Washington Township to Mount Olive. Light in hand, the specter—known as the Hookerman of Long Valley—searches tirelessly for a limb he lost while working the railroad. This spooky legend takes center stage at Ort Farms' 2012 corn maze, in which visitors wind through 8 acres of twists and turns. After emerging from the labyrinth, guests can board a hayride and tour the farm grounds. See Fall Festival hours here. Entrance to the festival is free, and on weekends, visitors can also ride ponies, trains, and monster trucks for an additional fee.
