In a studio that hosts up to 12 students, instructors arm their pupils with one pound of clay and ample instruction in the art of hand-building to create their own pot, plate, or desired piece. After students sculpt their pieces, they leave them behind for up to two weeks while they dry. Once the clay has been baked, students return to paint their facades before waiting one more week so staffers can fire their creations a second time. For the pottery painting party package, each guest can select and paint one pre-fired piece of pottery.
