About Peekaboo Playland

Millions of people have seen the inside of Peekaboo Playland, though they probably don't know it. The indoor playground has garnered ample media attention, including a feature on The Doctors. It was even used to shoot an episode of NBC's The Office, during which new parents Jim and Pam seek out the perfect daycare center for their child, and it was featured in an episode of HBO's Togetherness. Spoiler alert: Peekaboo Playland fits the bill. Luckily, the creative space appeals to more than just sitcom characters.

The massive open-play facilities scream imagination like an improv troupe that's trying way too hard. European artist Marlene Wittfeld created custom paintings for the indoor playground, and her images of beaches, forests, and outer space make the walls seem like a giant storybook. Nature sounds and carefully selected music set the tone as kids slide down from a large "stork's nest," jump in a bounce castle, or play pretend in the dress-up nook. The Baby Balcony caters to kids ages 2 and younger, while long work tables and open spaces set the stage for creativity.

Parents find ample activities as well. They can browse a wide selection of magazines and sip complementary coffee while surfing on free WiFi, or order food from one of the nearby restaurants.
