As the world grows more and more compact, only the limber will be able to move around without scraping their elbows. Today's side deal molds you into malleable mobility with a 60-minute one-on-one Pilates session at Pilates San Francisco for $35 (a $75 value). Certified instructor Leslie Streit's private studio, located at the gateway to the Peninsula, will give you a lovely view of the bay as she firms and flexifies your body with spring-weighted machines and core exercises.
Leslie Streit is certified through the Physical Mind Institute New York City/Santa Fe, NM and will provide you with individualized attention to promote strength and physical resolve in your limbs. One hour-long session will lead you down a path to improved posture, better circulation and breathing, a whole new awareness of the connection between your body and mind, and toned abs, arms, shoulders, and more. Pilates is also an excellent way to align the wayward spine and help prevent and heal injuries. Like a chewy Flintstones multivitamin, Pilates uses a lot of fun shapes to improve your body's health and well-being.
Sessions meet by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

CityVoter nominated Pilates San Francisco for a 2009 Best of Mind & Body Award, and one tough granny Yelper gives it five stars:
- This is a world class teacher who does 1:1 (that's one on one in geekspeak). And the studio has all the fancy machines you'd expect. – Robin M.
