How Groupon Works

Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Palm Beach: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."

If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (25 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in three months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!

Today's Deal

Bistros are remarkable in that they somehow manage to be both fancy and casual at the same time, much like a necktie with Taz on it. Feel gussied up without too much fuss with today's Groupon to Pistache French Bistro. Choose between the following options:

• For $20, you get $45 worth of dinner fare
• For $10, you get $25 worth of lunch and brunch fare

Pistache serves up elegant French fare with Mediterranean flourishes in a casual bistro setting. The dinner menu, like the cast of Law & Order, changes with the seasons but always stays true to classic French techniques such as terrines, tartars, and troupes of tap-dancing potato men in tinfoil tuxedos. An iconic meal of coq au vin adorns red-wine-braised chicken with lardoons, mushrooms, pearl onions, carrots, and potatoes ($21.50). Juicy slabs of steak au poivre come flanked by golden nests of shoestring fries ($33), and cannelloni- style crêpes stuffed with ground veal, parmesan, and tomato vodka sauce ($23) successfully meld French and Italian cuisine without resulting in a baguette and salami swordfight. Foreground your meal's beautiful presentation with a glass of red, white, rose, or sparkling vino ($6.75–$22) from the prolific wine list, and impress dates with your ability to juggle a dessert plate of chocolate-drenched profiteroles in your mouth.

If you'd rather mingle with the dejeuner set of power lunchers, bustling shoppers, and escapees from the Island of Misfit Toys, savor a light lunch of onion soup gratinee ($7.75) and arugula salad ($9.75), or indulge in a hearty wedge of quiche Lorraine, bursting with ham, bacon, and molten swiss cheese ($10.75). Otherwise, brunch it with a chocolate croissant ($3.25), eggs Norwegian (eggs Benedict with an English muffin and smoked salmon, $14.50), and a fresh-squeezed mimosa ($9).

Befitting its menu, the décor at Pistache presents a pastiche of Old World bistro trappings. A faux-antique tin ceiling, patina-ed mirrors, and handsome red banquettes mimic the art nouveau style popularized in 1920s Paris, when roller derby was king. Take advantage of al fresco dining with a singular view of Centennial Park and the Intracoastal Waterway.
