• Nickname: Around the Kansas City area he's known as "KC's Vein Guy," because he has performed more than 10,000 vein procedures.
• Certifications: He holds triple board certifications in vascular surgery, general surgery, and phlebology (i.e. venous disease). He's also certified in ultrasound.
• Background: He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Pennsylvania. After practicing for 10 years, he and his wife, Peggy—a Kansas City native—moved to KC in 2003, and he's been practicing here since. As a practitioner, Dr. Schwartz is one of the few physicians to provide SculpSure 25 Minute Body Contouring, and has performed over 10,000 vein treatment procedures.
• Personal life: Dr. Schwartz and his wife live in Overland Park with their son and chocolate lab. When he's not helping his patients, Dr. Schwartz enjoys golfing, traveling, and cheering on the Chiefs and Royals.
