St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the official charity partner of the race, with proceeds from the event going toward its worthy cause.

A picturesque course takes racers through some of most beautiful scenery and landmark attractions in the city Runner's World named Best Running City in America. Gallop past Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge and shuffle through the terrains of the Marina, Crissy Field, and the Presidio. Humanoid gazelles are given a full three hours to complete the venture with the motivational hydration of water sports drinks and warm milk served at aid stations along the way. Though participants will be timed during the 13.1-mile trek, casual joggers are encouraged to join the pack.

Alongside the intangible thrill of finishing a half marathon, participants receive an organic, recycled running T-shirt, a racing bib with your name printed on it, and a finishing medal to commemorate your accomplishment.
