Even if you've never been there before, visiting Raging Waters Los Angeles may bring about a sense of déjà vu: classic movie Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure filmed some of its scenes here. Heart-Racing Rides

Bold tube riders plunge into darkness on Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror, with no idea whether they'll be twisting through a 360-degree spin or plunging straight down a 40-foot drop. Others go down Drop Out's seven stories at speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour.

On the Mellow Side

Three-foot waves travel across Wave Cove's million-gallon pool, while the Amazon Adventure's quarter-mile river takes tubers on an endless, lazy tour around the park.

For the Little Ones

Kids under 48 inches tall frolic under waterfalls and go down slides at Kid's Kingdom, a 30,000-sq.-ft. water playground. The Little Dipper area has even more miniature slides and wading pools.
