About Reed Vocal Studio
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Using science and understanding a singer's genetic abilities, Rachel teaches her students how to get a healthy, natural, and beautiful balance between air and muscle to create a resonance that a singer can grow a wide range and build strength on without having any breaks in their voice.
Private online singing lessons save the students time and gas money and give them the opportunity to take singing lessons in the comfort of their own home. With how amazing technology is these days, the students and Rachel often forget they're not having the lesson in person.
In the first lesson Rachel assesses the student's voice and talk with them about their goals. Then, they start right away with vocal exercises. The second half of the lesson focuses on the songs.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Students are recommended to bring a simple recording device so they can listen back to the lesson and practice with the recording. Using an app on a phone works just fine. Students are also recommended to have a song prepared to sing. For the first lesson, any song of the student's choice is fine.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I got inspired to be a singing teacher because I saw too many singers struggling to sing songs without discomfort or hurting their voice.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about being a singing teacher is seeing singers improve.
