Semaglutide is administered through a subcutaneous injection. The injection is given once a week on the same day and at the same time. The thigh, upper arm, and abdomen are common injection locations. In order to prevent discomfort and lipohypertrophy, or thicker fatty tissue, the injection sites will be rotated

Regular check-ups and monitoring of blood glucose, blood pressure, and body weight will be necessary to ensure optimal weight-management progress.

Good To Know

• Following your semaglutide injection, you might feel fatigued, headachey, or dizzy.

• When someone starts taking semaglutide for the first time, the most common problems are related to the gastrointestinal tract, including constipation, diarrhoea, and gas.

• Semaglutide must be combined with a healthy diet and exercise program for optimal efficacy.

• During your initial consultation, your medical provider will determine if this medication is right for you. Every weight management plan is customized to each individual patient based on their weight and weight management goals.

• Semaglutide cannot be prescribed to anyone with the following conditions: BMI below 25, history of eating disorders, gallbladder disease, drug and alcohol abuse , recent bariatric surgery, chronic pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer, multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2, anyone currently pregnant or breast-feeding, or planning to become pregnant, or a family history of medullary thyroid cancer.
