    This is the original Quad Cities Rudy's. Yup, East Davenport's legendary mecca of muy bueno Mexican eats. Guess what? Now it's better than ever, because they've added margaritas to the primo roster of imported and domestic brews and wine. By way of background, Rudy's Tacos was founded in 1973 by Rudy and Marilyn Quijas. Since then, the eatery has expanded to include 12 additional locations in both Iowa and Illinois. Nevertheless, this original location will always remain near and dear to the hearts of the Quijas Family. However, that's equally true of the customers, many of whom first visited as children and now bring their own kids here to chow down on fresh Mexican fare. Look for a home-style menu of time-honored recipes, as well as a lineup that runs the gamut. Tacos, Enchiladas, Tostadas, Burritos, Tamales, Chimichangas, Fajitas, and Combination Platters represent just a sampling of what's for lunch and dinner. Also look for Value Meals, Kids Meals and unbelievable Lunch Specials that are available from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Fridays and from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
