Rio Grande Churrascaria is kind of a well-kept secret among its regulars, thanks in large part to its inconspicuous location: in the basement of the Holiday Inn Manhattan View hotel.

The restaurant's Brazilian food, however, has made that covert existence tough to protect—especially the all-you-can-eat rodízio barbecue. For this, servers pull up to each table to slice morsels of more than a dozen different meats off their skewers, from juicy steaks to plump sausages to bacon-wrapped chicken. A buffet of traditional sides, meanwhile, punctuates the experience, and a selection of imported wines and beers helps wash it all down. And, if the scent of barbecued meat doesn't attract curious newcomers, the music might: every Friday and Saturday, the restaurant hosts live acts from all sorts of genres.
