Don't let the name fool you, there's nothing "express" about reading through Rocco's Amici Express's food lineup. Sure, the staff lives up to the namesake adjective by quickly churning out dishes in the open kitchen, but the menu itself is so large that it fills multiple portrait-sized frames that hang on the wall above the ordering counter. That's because the expansive list covers all the Italian bases, from pasta e fagioli and grilled paninis to baked ziti and veal-centric entrees.

The real draw here, however, is the pizza, which emerges from the double-decker ovens in both round and square varieties. In addition to baking up custom pies, cooks craft a number of unique specialty creations, such as the chicken parmigiana pizza with crispy fried chicken, the BLT pie with all the acronymous toppings served atop actual mayonnaise, and the philly cheesesteak pizza.
