It's oftentimes the most passionate individuals who make the best teachers—people who care deeply about their craft and can't wait to share it with anyone who might be curious. Rene Steinke fits that bill. Since the age of 17, he's been studying and refining the centuries-old art of glassblowing, all culminating inside Sacramento Art Glass, a space where he can teach, work, and coordinate art shows. Suited for all experience levels, classes span up to six hours in the shop, during which students will make one or two original pieces, get hands-on experience, and learn the basics of glass blowing before bringinng home their own unique artwork.
