About Salvatore's Restaurant
In 1980, this building was best known as the site of a high-profile bank robbery. Today, it's known for the butternut-squash ravioli. The old bank-vault doors still greet visitors at the dining-room entrance of Salvatore's Restaurant in Medford, but beyond, it's a whole different picture. Cooks concoct plates of gnocchi and sausage in marinara and pair platings of marinated steak tips with hand-cut fries. The pizza menu, meanwhile, features dozens of Neapolitan specialties ranging from eggplant parm to barbecue chicken.
