It takes the effort of an entire family to make Sandhill Crane Vineyards great. At this small, family-owned vineyard, this means family members do everything from describing the array of award-winning wines in the tasting room to hand-pruning vines out in the fields. In the kitchen you can find build your own charcuterie, possibilities are endless, with gluten free, vegetarian, & other dietary options. On the weekends, you can find food specials such as salads, or sandwiches, featuring fresh & local produce. The winemaker Holly Balansag, produces a wide range of wines in lovingly small batches, using only Michigan-grown fruits. Her tasting list a wide array of 20–30 whites, reds, and sweet dessert wines, sometimes even creating wines out of estate-grown apples and berries.
