A 15-hour beginner sailing lesson introducing the joy and sport of sailing at one of the largest sailing schools in the Northwest!

Learn to sail on the beautiful Puget Sound! This 15-hour (+ 1-hour exam) American Sailing course is designed for adults who have either never sailed, or have been on the water and are ready to learn more. It is the perfect first step towards becoming a competent sailor. Upon completion, students will be certified to crew on keelboats and ready for the next level of training.

Lesson Size:

Group Lesson Schedules:

2-day Lesson

  • Students must be available for 2 consecutive days to join the lesson. Class runs 9 am – 5 pm each day.

4-day Evening Lesson

  • Runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 2 consecutive weeks. Class runs 5:30 – 9 pm each day
Must be 18 or older. Online reservation is required. Must sign a release form. Valid only for ASA 101 Basic Keelboat. If you choose to get certified there is a $39 fee for American Sailing Student Registration Certification and the test carries a fee of $30. The certifications are good for life and are collected upon completion of the course. Merchant's standard cancellation policy applies.
