Boris Shapiro grew up in the Soviet Union with a fascination with martial arts and Eastern medical practices instilled in him at an early age. He initially pursued Western medicine as a career, and in an attempt to broaden his abilities, he began incorporating Eastern practices into his work. However, after earning his medical doctorate, he decided to abandon his traditional Western practice, and headed to the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York to earn a degree in acupuncture. He has since studied under countless acupuncture experts, and applies his knowledge one needle at a time, working to help his patients maintain overall wellness. Among many other ailments, his treatments are designed to address back pain, stress, fatigue, and depression.
