• Charter Details:

Fishing on the “RAINISONG” is pure luxury. Comfortable seating inside for everyone in a warm heated cabin, two CLEAN bathrooms with licensed & Professional Crew. We’ll clean your fish and put them in a heavy-duty plastic bag for carrying home. The RAINISONG is 65 feet long by 20 feet wide and the largest Charter Fishing Boat in Seward Alaska. This super stable boat minimizes motion sickness to enhance your fishing pleasure.

• Fishing License:

Alaska Fish & Game Law: You MUST have a copy of your fishing license. Electronic versions are now accepted. Duplicate licenses are available for $5 at the Bay Traders store in the Seward Boat Harbor. King Salmon Stamps are not required, but if you catch a king without purchasing the Stamp, the King will be released. 2024 Regulations: No license is required for residents under the age of 18 and Non-Residents under the age of 16.

• What to Wear?

Federal law requires that all children under the age of 13 wear a lifejacket on a moving boat.

People fish in tennis shoes, hiking boots, rubber boots, tee shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc.

Dress in layers and bring weather proof boots/raingear to stay dry if it’s raining. There is an inside cabin to get out of the environment, so dress smart and comfortable.

• What to Tip?

Well, if you ask the crew, they’ll say “tip till it hurts”. Lol……just kidding. The Charter Fishing is just like the regular service industry, of 15% to 20%. This crew works really hard at baiting your hooks, netting your fish, asking if you want pictures before they clean your fish and taking care of you.

• May I Bring a Cooler?

Yes, a small cooler for anything you want drink/eat. (NO BANANAS OR GLASS BOTTLES) Our fish bags will be adequate to transport your catch. We ask that all packs and coolers be stored below.

• How Many Fish May I Keep?

Silver Salmon: 6 Silver Salmon inside the bay or 3 if outside the Bay. Where we fish that day depends on where the fish are.
