About Shadow Lake Restaurant

In the 1920s, Shadow Lake wasn't a lake at all: it was a crushed stone quarry. Eventually, the quarry filled with spring water and became a local swimming hole until the 1970s, when Shadow Lake golf course began construction.

Today, the quarry-turned-sparkling-lake creates a beautiful backdrop for not only the golf course, but also for its restaurant. Tucked away inside the clubhouse, this cozy, wood-paneled hangout is a go-to spot for golfers, parties, and anyone looking for a hearty meal. Chef Sean Flaherty's menu features the classics—burgers, sandwiches, and salads—plus an impressive lineup of signature dishes and homestyle entrees. Here are a few the restaurant is known for:

  • Shadow Lake French: Egg- and parmesan-battered cod that is pan-fried and finsihed with a lemon-sherry butter sauce
  • Famous Fish Fry: 9oz. fresh Cod fillet with lemon, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and crispy battered fries
  • Char-B-Q wings: Golfers flock to the restaurant nightly for this well-kept secret, which, according to legend, were created by a longtime barkeep years ago when the chef got stuck in a snow storm.
