Skin Theory's owner and aesthetician, Ariel Simonetti, has been a licensed aesthetician since 2004. In the intervening years, she has focused her skills to become an expert in waxing and skincare. While her specialty is customized brow shaping—she even teaches the art in classes—Ariel ably waxes all areas of the body including arms, legs, and bikini areas. On the skincare side of her business, each of her nine different types of facials includes a massage of the décolletage, arms, hands, and feet. Not one to neglect the ambience in her spa (which is located in the upstairs loft of Jean Claude Salon & Spa), Ariel encourages relaxation with pleasant sounds, soothing aromas, and a willingness to muffle ringing cellphones with wax.
