Stand up to gravity, the forceful bully responsible for holding you down all these years, with today's Groupon: for $10, you get two hours of open jumping and shoe rental at Sky Zone Sacramento on Tinker Road in Rocklin, up to a $22 value. You have the option of bouncing the full two hours, splitting your two hours over two separate visits, or sharing your Groupon with a pal to get an hour apiece during one visit (all subject to availability). Showcase air-bound noises while bouncing higher than a gummy bear in moon shoes on the world's first all-trampoline, walled playing fields. The patented design of the walls adds angled trampolines to the sides of the field, allowing jumpers to literally bounce off the walls.

Channel the exercise of kangaroos and beans with a session of open jump. Slip on sky shoes ($2) and prepare for 120 minutes of aerodynamic excitement ($7–$9 per hour) as you bound up and down, side to side, and through dimensional planes. The all-ages activity is an uplifting alternative to treadmills and stagnant fitness routines, and no athletic prowess is required. Fill out a quick liability waiver before living out leapfrog fantasies during dodgeball (subject to availability) or other over-the-top events. Check out a video of all the action here.

Pioneered by an inventor more prolific than Thomas Edison, Rick Moranis, and Inspector Gadget combined, Sky Zone's special concept was awarded a patent for its originality, leading to the creation of the first court in 2002. The floor-to-wall jumpery allows attendees to live out video games and dreams about being a California condor. Deftly maneuver while whirling through the air, get a three-dimensional workout, and finally get over the bitter regret of never going to space camp.

Reviews

There aren't many reviews for Sky Zone Sacramento, but Insider Pagers give the Las Vegas locale three stars, and Yelpers give it four. It was also named a Best Family Attraction in Review-Journal's Best of Las Vegas 2010:

  • Three-dimensional entertainment is all the rage these days, but most of it involves you sitting on your duff, watching blue aliens get it on and such. But at Skyzone, 3-D fun takes on a physical, real life feel. Fly through the air in gnarly dodgeball matches, get fit with SkyRobics exercise routines, celebrate junior’s birthday with a gravity-defying party or just jump around for a bit. Here, the world is your trampoline. – Best of Las Vegas
  • The kids were able to do trampoline jumping, flipping and play dodgeball. Prior to playing the kids were given safety instructions (don't push or shove, stay off the sides, etc.) and then the fun began. It was a great time! – L. A., Insider Pages
