Following a short briefing on skydiving basics, passengers on the observation flight embark on a 25-minute plane ride to the top of the drop zone. They try on a parachute to join in the experience, but remain securely in the plane while observing others jump.
For the full dive, guests prepare during a six- to eight-hour ground school, where certified instructors divulge the physics of skydiving and aerial safety. The program is designed for students with the goal of diving solo one day. After an additional hour of training and a turboprop flight up to 14,000 feet, visitors strap into a four-point harness secured to their tandem skydive master's harness and chute.
