About Smoke’s Poutinerie

The eponymous Smoke proudly claims to have been clogging arteries with his hearty poutine since 2008, when the franchise opened in Toronto. Today, it's made its way across the border to share the Canadian classic with America, one heaping basket of poutine at a time. The menu starts with the traditional poutine: seasoned hand-cut fries, Smoke's signature brown gravy, and squeaky cheese curds imported from Wisconsin.

From there, things get interesting with more than 30 variations. The cooks add inventive toppings, such as double-smoked bacon, pulled pork, and jalapeños and guacamole, before slathering the creations in one of four gravy styles: the signature variety, vegetarian brown, peppercorn, and curry.

If you're looking to go all in, try the Triple Pork—piled high with chipotle pulled pork, double-smoked bacon, and italian sausage, drenched in signature gravy. And if you're looking to add some americana to Canada's national dish, try the philly cheesesteak, a veritable mountain of flatiron steak, roasted red peppers, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and cheese sauce. And, yes, the cheese sauce is in addition to the signature gravy. Vegetarians can get in on the fun, too, with a range of veggie-centric poutines, including the veggie nacho, topped with salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, guacamole, and vegetarian brown gravy.
