About South Philly Wellness

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Abdominal massage for fertility assistance, women's reproductive health and digestion, prenatal and postpartum massage, Indian head massage, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage, zen shiatsu/ acupressure, thai yoga massage, and scar tissue release.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

My studio practice unfolded as a result of my own need for physical healing. I had turned to massage to ease chronic pain from car accidents I experienced as a child. The full story was captured on video at our former location.

What do you love most about your job?

I am presented with opportunities to enhance the quality of life for each client. Massage adjusts perspective, in my work we uncover the origins of discomfort patterns and implement subtle changes to improve their lives. Seeing a client move beyond pain management to enjoy life fully is amazing.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

A new client arrived unenthusiastically with a gift certificate from his wife. He was uncomfortable being touched and felt massage was a frivolous luxury. After a few minutes of neck massage the man asked how he could book regular massages for he and his wife.
