About Special When Lit, LLC
Special When Lit is a retro pinball arcade in King City, OR, founded by long-time friends David Johnston and Aaron Atkins. David and Aaron have been playing pinball and visiting arcades together for the past 43 years. With the resurgence of pinball in the last few years, they felt it was time to recreate a unique retro gaming atmosphere that creates the nostalgia and excitement of being back in a local hometown arcade. Special When Lit has over 3,000 square feet of electro-entertainment. On location there are 44 pinball machines spanning most eras and 12 classic arcade games. Titles will occasionally rotate through to keep the action fresh. Enjoy relaxing with your friends in the lounge and gaming areas. The bar has several beers on tap along with a large offering of import and domestic bottles and cans. There is a full menu with a variety of great food options to keep you well fueled. David and Aaron welcome everyone to join them at Special When Lit to spend time hanging out with friends, finding new games, playing for high scores, and enjoying a great experience that will remind you of the carefree days of youth spent plugging quarters into the machines at an arcade.
