- One or Three Private Horseback Riding Lessons for 1 Person: English Hunt Seat riding lessons. Each lesson is customized to the rider's comfort and experience level.
Good To Know
- All lessons include basic horse care and grooming.
- Lessons are weather-permitting, and weather-related cancellations will be communicated prior to your lesson.
- Available for riders ages 3 to 93.
- Rider weight limit of 200 lbs.
- Parking is located on the left side in front of the barn.
- Dress in layers for the cold/winter months. It can get muddy and wet. No riding in sneakers, dresses or shorts.

Instructor and operator Kari McKelvey brings decades of expertise, holding degrees in Stable Management and Horsemanship. Her equestrian journey began in 4-H and evolved through Western and English disciplines, including raising and training horses. Kari’s experience spans teaching at summer camps, managing professional eventing barns, and traveling for competitions. Today, she focuses on developing riders’ equitation and horsemanship while maintaining healthy, well-cared-for lesson horses.

- Due to the size of the horses, there is a strict max weight limit of 200 lbs. 45 minutes includes time for tacking, untacking, and brushing. Limit 1 Groupon per rider. Must wear boots with a heel and long pants.

About Springfield Sport Horses
Hi. My name is Kari McKelvey. I am a graduate of Cazenovia College and Virginia Intermont College where I earned two degrees in Equestrian Studies. Over the years I transitioned into corporate world and have worn many hats and eventually raising two children. My daughter caught the horse bug and through the years has shown at many levels. During her career we have kept her show horses and they are still going strong. We've kept them fit and because of their vast experience and levels of training, they make for a very safe and fun learning vessel for all my students.
Coastline Farm is where I board my horses. This a serene, quiet and well maintained horse boarding facility. It boasts of a lovely outside arena that is well lit with great footing. We have a quiet environment to learn and a great facility to enjoy.
