Private lessons move at your pace, as the instructor focuses on your desired dance style, demonstrating the basics and fine-tuning your technique. During group lessons, the instructors teach men and women separately, and then bring couples together to practice with or without music. Throughout the class, students rotate partners to improve their leading and following skills. Classes are typically scheduled Monday–Friday. After students have had time to master some moves, they can show off their newfound skills in dance parties with students of similar abilities. The dance parties set a lively and fun atmosphere to mimic an actual social gathering, complete with robot backup dancers.<p>

About Starz Ballroom
Originally from Haiti, lead instructor and Owner Anderson Sylvestre brings his Caribbean flair to the floor, whether he is stepping out for a national ballroom competition or teaching first-time dancers. Along with his fellow teachers, Anderson imparts the skills, self-confidence, and excitement of learning a new dance to students of all levels. His classes cover a host of styles, including tango, merengue, West Coast swing, and bolero, and also teaching old-time dances such as the lindy—inspired by Lyndon Johnson's graceful movements after stubbing his toe on Air Force One.
