About Steak 38
Steak 38 founder Joe DiAmore began working as a teenager in 1957, working as a busboy at at Cinelli's Country House in Cherry Hill. That summer, Joe went to work for Skinny D'Amato at the 500 Club in Atlantic City–a favorite hangout of Frank Sinatra–and later managed The Woodbine Inn for 14 years for John Nero, before opening his own restaurant in 1992, Steak 38. The restaurant is a throwback to the 50's and 60's where Caesar salads and Flambé desserts were made table-side and incorporates over 40 year of experience into a full menu of entrees seasoned with the world's most popular spice—fire. Many of Steak 38's signature dishes include table-side preparation, as waiters carve meats, debone fish, and ignite flaming desserts such as Bananas Foster. The restaurant’s intimate bar stocks its bins with toast-ready spirits, filling glasses with effervescent champagne, bracing scotch, and a selection of timeless after-dinner cordials.
