Motorcycles combine the coolness of James Dean, the stylishness of leather clothing, and the convenience of jumping every gorge in the neighborhood. Experience all aspects of two-wheeled entertainment with today's Groupon: for $35, you get a two-hour Introduction to Motorcycling course from Streetwise Cycle School (a $75 value).
Streetwise Cycle School enlightens wheeled warriors with comprehensive instruction, giving students ample space to practice on its large riding range. During the two-hour Introduction to Motorcycling class each student is provided with a motorbike, making lessons clearer than the sunny blue skies inside a snow globe. Instruction spans four topics, including motorcycle familiarization, which names different motorcycle parts, then illustrates how to start the machine by pleading with each one individually. Learners will also encounter the clutch and practice riding in a straight line. After reviewing start-and-stop techniques, pupils will shift gears and attempt to turn tight corners while chasing after runaway paper airplanes.
Streetwise emphasizes student safety by providing helmets for learners to use. Classes are scheduled mostly on Saturdays, and occasionally on Mondays and Thursdays. Although students will not be eligible for a motorcycle license as a result of passing the introduction course, the accumulated knowledge will add powerful realism to future Evel Knievel Halloween costumes.

About Streetwise Cycle School
Ask the coed instructors of Streetwise Cycle School to name their favorite roads to ride, and they'll describe places that would rival the pictures in Condé Nast—New England's meandering back roads, South Dakota's arid Badlands, and Oregon's lush Cascade Mountains. Certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and upholding the training standards of the state's Motorcycle Rider Education Program, these instructors ready riders from beginner to advanced for their own open-road odysseys. Courses and private lessons in both motorcycle and scooter riding prepare riders to apply for their licenses. When they're not busy aiding current riders, Streetwise's team members also encourage new enthusiasts to explore motorcycling, arranging incentives through local dealers that include gift cards and discounts on diamond-encrusted helmets.
