Surf Diva teaches the athletic and spiritual value of oceanic communion by instilling the lessons of the great blue sea into land-walking, lung-wearing humans. Each 90-minute lesson guides students of all experience levels through the basics of wave catching, ocean awareness, wave breaks, water safety, surf etiquette, paddling, balance, underwater breathing, and pop-up techniques. Students learn the addictive rush of flying over the ocean on the soles of their feet as the dormant predictability of dry sand is replaced by geysers of sea-mist and the distant echo of maritime folklore.

Surf Diva was founded by twin sisters Izzy and Coco Tihanyi at a time when surfing was dominated by men and horses. Izzy started surfing at a young age, and the sisters' passion for wave riding has drawn a slew of women to the once all-girls school. Surf Diva now boasts over 50 instructors and is open to all genders, ages, and ability levels.
