Robotics Camp
Kids in grades 1–7 utilize fun, hands-on projects to learn how to build and program robots—all while making friends, developing new skills and having a great time learning important STEM skills. In each class, students and a partner work together to plan and build a robot using LEGO bricks, learning science and engineering concepts along the way. As their robot takes shape, kids experiment with LEGO Education software to program and problem-solve new ways to animate their “bots.”
Coding Camp
Kids in grades 2–8 have a blast creating video games and animated stories while learning basic coding, problem solving, logic, and physics skills. Students can participate without any programming experience, as teachers adjust the class to each child’s ability. Every class has a distinct objective and outcome, and kids will learn how to create characters, animations, sounds, special effects and develop mini-stories to design a final video game that they can play with friends.
Math Edge Camp
Kids in grades 1–5 boost their skills in overall math proficiency, including computation and problem solving, while raising independent thinking. The program supplements students’ academic activities with a structured and systematic approach to improving computation, accuracy, problem solving and overall math proficiency—all while building confidence and independent thinking skills. Fun and challenging games are incorporated to make developing a love for math fun for kids.

About Sylvan Learning Center
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous study facilities understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don’t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of standardized testing, diagnostic tools, and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan’s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. After-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.
