Tanna Farms Golf Club gets right down to business. From the tee on the first hole, looking toward the island green just 140 yards away from the back tees, with blue sky above and sunlight glinting off the water hazard, it's obvious that this course combines challenge with beauty. And so it does. After landing their ball with pinpoint accuracy on that first hole, players trek over 6,510 yards, finding along the way not only two yawning par 5s that stretch over 600 yards and a handful of par 3s with "postage-stamp-sized" greens, but also prairie land and wetlands. Common sights along the way? Stretches of wildflowers abutting the bentrgrass greens, as well as undulating fairways with gentle elevation changes. It's an experience made all the more peaceful by the sheer size of it: the course has an almost circular layout so that golfers don't feel stacked up on one another.
