Event Description:

May 12, 2016: Keyboard Conversations With Jeffrey Siegel (Chopin Forever) — Concert
Compositions of this beloved composer never seem to go out of style or lose their enormous appeal. Chopin transforms traditional waltzes, mazurkas, and polonaises, from dances for the feet to musical feasts for the ears. The program will also include his youthful, charming Nocturne in B Major Opus 9 No. 3, the effervescent Impromptu in A Flat, Opus 29, and the stormy Scherzo No. 1 in B Minor. Internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel is back for his ninth season of Keyboard Conversations®. Each evening is comprised of informal commentary on the music and its composers, a full performance of each work, and concludes with a short Q&A session.
