While observing scubas in captivity seems innocent, the scuba carefully watches back, waiting for an opportunity to leap from the water and leech onto your body, forcing you to transport it back to the sea. Free your captive scuba with today's Groupon: for $15, you get one Try Scuba diving lesson (a $50 value) at The Dive Shop, which has been providing year-round scuba classes for divers of all wet-belt degrees since 1961.
The three-hour introductory course encourages novices to take their land lungs on an aqueous adventure. Experienced instructors lead future friends of Kevin Costner through an approximately hour-long introductory land lesson covering proper techniques. Then you'll have roughly 90 minutes to explore the indoor pool, followed by 30 minutes of post-dive dry discussion and questions. Teachers will impart the tricks of the underwater-breathing business using supplied scuba equipment, while instilling a sense of aquatic safety and sharing the basic steps necessary for growing fins.
Throughout the session, feel free to ask questions regarding the fancy gear or to gain information about future scuba opportunities provided by The Dive Shop. Those choosing to continue working toward their certification will receive a $50 voucher that can be used toward future tuition within 45 days of the initial lesson. Call ahead to schedule a place in the pool.

About The Dive Shop
The Dive Shop's instructors, drawing from Scuba Schools International's programs, teach water-safety skills to fledgling divers and swimmers of all ages. Classes and activities range from the Scuba Rangers club—where kids aged 8–12 learn to snorkel and scuba dive from the safety of a pool—to open-water dives, swimming lessons, and more advanced stress-and-rescue dive sessions, during which instructors turn dog paddlers into almost-mermaids, minus the pet octopuses.
