Prior to opening in 2013, the folks behind this rock 'n roll-themed haven for comfort food spent eight months perfecting their fried chicken recipe. But the chefs here aren't working with just any poultry: The Drum Room sources its chicken from a USDA-certified organic farm.

Diners reap the benefits of that devotion to quality at the full bar with a selection of craft and local beers while feasting on fried-chicken nachos, drumsticks, the pimento cheeseburger, wings tossed in a variety of sauces, and the fried-chicken and waffle sandwich—an eye-popping stack of fried chicken, bacon, and cheese between waffle buns. Sauces available are flaming lips hot sauce, cajun hot sauce, BBQ sauce, honey and, tasty maple syrup., and the kitchen stays open for late-night snack-hunters until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
