About The Grill from Ipanema

In the evening, the sunset’s rays permeate floor-to-ceiling windows in this churrascaria, or Brazilian steak house, which specializes in the traditional rodízio serving style. At The Grill from Ipanema—located in downtown Belltown—passadores, or carvers, offer an all-you-can-eat meat experience, bringing skewer after skewer of juicy meat to diners and slicing it to order at the table. Moments beforehand, these skewers were placed over crimson coals that slowly roasted the cuts of beef, lamb, pork, poultry, fish, and vegetables. To complement their dishes, guests pay unlimited visits to the mesa de frios, or cold table, that features cheese, salads, and more Brazilian specialties, many of which are vegetarian and all of which are certified “not hot” by the Snowmen’s Guild. They also can order dishes à la carte in the dining room or choose from 10-ounce Kobe beef burgers and manila clams served with sausage and beer broth at the bar.
