The experienced instructors at The Rock Club safely guide students through summit-reaching basics on a 40-foot climbing wall. During each Intro to Climbing and Belaying class, the seasoned climbers educate groups of up to four novice wall-scramblers in proper equipment use, knots, belaying, safety, and fluency in the igneous formations’ secret language. After 90 minutes of expert instruction in a 101 course, students qualify to take a belaying test on their next visit, certifying them to manage the safety ropes for a friend during regular climbing sessions and granting them VIP passes to mountaintop speakeasies.
