Massage therapists customize each Stein signature massage based on the client’s requests. Similarly, aestheticians modify the Nordic Experience facial for specific goals, such as shrinking pores or tightening skin. Wraps and body scrubs, meanwhile, soften and hydrate skin. The Alpine pedicure starts with an aromatherapy foot soak. After tending to cuticles, calluses, and skin, the aesthetician lightly massages the feet and calves, then applies polish and a softening paraffin treatment.

Every spa package also includes access to communal spa spaces, including relaxation lounges and a heated outdoor pool. Check the website for a complete list of complimentary amenities.

About Stein Eriksen Spa
It's been more than six decades since Stein Eriksen won gold at the 1952 Oslo Olympic Winter Games, but the famed skier still influences the sport, especially at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Located halfway up the mountains, the resort serves as an active tribute to Mr. Eriksen's career. The thrills are fast, with skiers soaring down slopes like delicious rocket popsicles, pausing only briefly to take in the scenery: rolling mountainsides and vibrant pine trees in every direction.
Something different happens within the onsite spa, however. From the outside, its vaulted ceilings and cobbled stone exterior make it look like a quintessential European ski lodge. The 23,000-square-foot interior, however, seems to exist on another plane. Time slows down, and the world outside melts into an oasis of massages, facials, and pedicures. A crackling fireplace casts soft light over an exclusive relaxation suite, which connects to two couple's rooms with private showers and baths. Here, massage therapists and their nimble fingers can knead muscles as paramours relax side by side.
Not surprisingly, many other services—doled out in 16 additional treatment rooms—focus on the effects of elevation. The High Altitude Relief Package combines three hours of massage, hydrating treatments, and aromatherapy specifically designed for living in thin air. Additional spa areas focus on the aesthetic. Mani-pedi stations pamper hands and feet, while an onsite salon sees stylists snipping hair and creating dynamic highlights.
For lodge guests, the spa team happily brings their services right into a room or suite. There are still plenty of reasons to venture outside, however. Every spa treatment grants complimentary access to the sauna, a heated outdoor pool, and many other amenities that helped The Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge earn a five-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide.
